The Resolution Center is a valuable tool for resolving issues between a client and freelancer quickly, easily and independent. This article will help you understand how to suggest a cancellation through the Resolution Center and guide you through the steps to do so effectively.
The Resolution Center is unavailable for orders that have already been completed or canceled. Orders that are 'waiting for requirements' or 'very late' can be canceled without the freelancer's approval.
Accessing the resolution center: clients
- Go to your Order page and select the order you want to resolve by clicking View. You can view and/or withdraw your open disputes via your order page.
- Click Resolution Center, located on the right side of the page.
- Select the action you'd like to take - Get an order update or Cancel order.
Ask your freelancer to cancel an order
When you request to cancel an order, your cancellation request and comments are sent directly to the freelancer. Both you and the freelancer will receive each other's feedback once a dispute or cancellation request is submitted.
Freelancers have up to 48 hours to accept or decline your dispute requests.
Disputes in the Resolution Center are sent directly to the other party and can be viewed on the Order page. Customer Support is not notified.
Open disputes
If there is already an open Resolution Center request within the same order, you must first withdraw the dispute via the Orders page before canceling the order.
You won't be able to open a new dispute if your current one is already addressing issues such as extending the delivery date, requesting an order update, or canceling the order.
Forced cancellation
If a freelancer is late with their delivery and no mutual agreement was made to extend the delivery date, you can cancel the order 24 hours after the expected delivery time without the freelancer's approval.
