Easily generate a professional project brief with the help of our AI assistant. This process ensures all your goals, requirements, and key specifications are clearly articulated and never overlooked. Once your refined brief is ready, simply post it to effortlessly receive tailored offers from the most relevant, qualified freelancers on our platform.

 

 

Getting started

This feature is for clients who want to easily find qualified freelancers by posting a project brief. The AI refines your brief, and then a shortlist of matching freelancers is created. You receive tailored offers directly from relevant freelancers, which you can evaluate and choose from.

  • This feature is available on desktop and mobile web, but not on the mobile app.
  • Briefs can only be generated in English. Using other languages will result in an error message.

How to post a brief & get offers?

  1. Click Post a brief from the header of your homepage when logged in.
  2. Write a short project description, including your timeline & budget. These fields are mandatory.
  3. Click Generate brief. AI will convert your description into a professional brief.
  4. Review your brief and add any additional information, such as whether it's a one-time request or an ongoing project, and details about the ideal candidate.
  5. Now, you have two options:
  • Click Source for me so Fiverr can find and share your brief with the top relevant freelancers. The freelancers that fit your brief's description, requirements, & budget range will receive your brief, and the results will show you freelancers who either perfectly or partially match your preferences.
  • Alternatively, click Invite freelancers to view a curated list of freelancers who match your request and send the brief yourself.
    1. Review the freelancer's profile for details on their past work and skills. You will see how well the freelancer matches your brief's requirements.
    2. Click Send invitation to request an offer.
    3. We recommend inviting several freelancers to increase your chances of receiving tailored offers faster.

Best practices

  1. Include recommended details: Adding details attracts the right freelancers, ensures they understand your needs, & leads to a smoother project.
  2. Adhere to policies: Your brief and any attached files must comply with Fiverr's policies and Terms of Service.
  3. Avoid sharing sensitive information: Never include contact details, passwords, credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers (SSN), or national identification card numbers.
  4. Avoid objectionable content: Never use adult content, hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or any abusive behavior.

How to view your briefs?

Access your briefs by clicking on your profile icon in the top right corner > Your Briefs.

  1. This page shows your brief's title, status, a summary of offers, and the action you can take (e.g., view offers, invite freelancers, or view orders).
  2. All offers appear in the Offers tab for your review, so you can easily compare them. You can expect to receive up to 5 tailored offers.
  3. Clicking View offer lets you review the details, including a short introduction from the freelancer, pricing, timeline, and included services.
  4. If a freelancer needs more details to personalize their offer, you can review their questions and reply directly from the offer page.

Once you select an offer, accept it directly from the offer page. You can accept multiple offers and hire more than one freelancer for your project.

  •  
    • Live - The brief is ready to receive offers from freelancers.
    • Inactive - The brief was inactive for 30 days & no freelancers were hired. Once inactive, you cannot send new invitations or receive offers.
    • Hired - At least one freelancer was hired for the project.
    • Rejected - Your brief was not approved because it violated Fiverr’s Community Standards.
    • No invites sent - You received a curated list of freelancers to invite, but haven’t sent any invitations yet.

FAQs

  • It may take freelancers a few hours to review your brief and create a tailored offer. Freelancers receive invites that are valid for 72 hours. After that, they will not be able to respond to your brief.
  • Briefs can get up to 5 tailored offers. This number is influenced by your brief's details, the freelancer's availability, the project scope, and whether you invite freelancers.
  • If you’re not getting responses, try submitting a new brief and make sure to follow the AI suggestions to refine your project scope, budget, and timeline. This helps match you with freelancers who are the right fit. You can also contact Customer Support for additional assistance.
