Conducting business on Fiverr increases your visibility and credibility as a freelancer. By using Fiverr’s tools, you can build long-term relationships with repeat clients and secure larger, higher-value orders. To support seamless communication, Fiverr offers built-in tools like video calls, which help freelancers align with their clients’ needs and provide the best possible order experience.
Engaging outside of Fiverr increases the risk of:
- Fraud and scams: Off-platform transactions make it easier for bad actors to deceive clients or freelancers.
- Breaches of privacy: Personal and financial information shared outside of Fiverr lacks adequate protection.
- Limited recourse: If an issue arises (cancellations, disputes, etc.), Fiverr cannot intervene or protect users conducting business outside the platform.
By keeping your business activity on Fiverr, you are protected by our security measures and ensuring that your account and business transactions remain safe.
Conducting business off-platform
It is prohibited to:
- Offer or accept payments outside of Fiverr: All payments must be processed through Fiverr to ensure full protection.
- Propose or agree to bypass Fiverr’s payment system: Soliciting or engaging in off-platform transactions with Fiverr users is not allowed.
- Direct clients or freelancers to external platforms: This includes suggesting alternative payment systems and external contracts.
- Share personal contact details: Do not share email addresses, phone numbers, or third-party messaging apps with the sole purpose of conducting business off-platform.
Conducting business off-platform directly violates Fiverr’s Terms of Service. This includes breaching the payment agreement, which encompasses Fiverr’s service fees. User accounts involved in violation of this policy risk permanent suspension of their accounts.
To help maintain a safe and transparent marketplace, we encourage users to report any attempts of taking business off the platform. Submitted reports will go directly to Fiverr's Trust & Safety team for a thorough review.
