UGC video service guidelines

Fiverr offers a dedicated UGC Videos section within our Video & Animation category.

Under this section, we provide two main types of services: Human UGC and AI UGC, giving buyers clear options to choose the style that best suits their needs.

UGC (User-Generated Content) videos help brands connect with audiences through content that feels native, personal, and engaging. Whether created by real people or generated with AI, UGC builds trust, boosts performance, and scales across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Fiverr now offers two types of UGC services: Human UGC and AI UGC. Human UGC features real people on camera, often speaking casually or showing products in everyday settings. These videos feel natural and relatable, and are great for product demos, testimonials, and lifestyle content.

AI UGC uses tools like avatars or synthetic voiceovers to create UGC-style videos without a human on camera. It’s useful for brands that need consistency, multilingual delivery, or quick production at scale.

This structure helps buyers find the right fit for their goals and makes it easier for sellers to describe their services clearly. Whether human or AI, what matters is being transparent about how the content is made and delivering something that feels real to the viewer.

We recognize that UGC videos have become a well-established and impactful format in the digital landscape. When creating or purchasing UGC video services, follow these dos and don’ts to help maintain a fair, transparent, and trustworthy marketplace:

  •
    • Be transparent about Human vs AI production and tools used (e.g., avatar/voice model).
    • Offer clear packages: number of concepts, hooks, cutdowns, ratios, captions/subtitles, revisions, raw footage (if available).
    • Define turnaround & revision policy (what’s a revision vs a reshoot).
    • State usage rights and upsells: paid ads, whitelisting, exclusivity, duration/territories.
    • For Human UGC: secure model/talent release; confirm on-camera talent look & language.
    • For AI UGC: confirm tool licenses, voice/avatar permissions, and any likeness approvals.
    • Add quality bar: good lighting, clean audio, steady framing; platform-native pacing.
    • If you are sharing UGC videos on social media platforms, make sure to follow each platform’s guidelines and rules for paid partnerships and promotions, including adding any relevant disclaimers and commercial disclosures.
  •
    • Promise performance results (CTR/ROAS) or make unverifiable claims.
    • Use copyrighted materials such as music, fonts, or footage without a license.
    • Use a person's private image, voice or other personal attributes without explicit consent.
    • Avoid presenting yourself in a way that could mislead others about your qualifications or credentials. For example, do not wear clothing or use props (such as a lab coat) that might cause someone to believe you hold a professional license or certification if you do not.
