A clear and well-communicated delivery process isn't just about completing a task; it's about building lasting client relationships. When clients understand exactly what to expect from start to finish, they'll be eager to work with you again and again. Use these tips to ensure smooth deliveries, earn rave reviews, and secure repeat business!
Delivery process overview
Once you've poured your expertise into completing a Fiverr Pro order, the next step is to deliver your work to the client. After delivery, your client will review the work and either mark the order as complete or request a revision. Don't worry if you don't hear back immediately; if the client takes no action, the order will automatically be marked as complete three days after the due date.
Important: An order delivery signifies the final, completed service. This isn't the stage for sending work samples or drafts. Make sure what you're delivering is the finished product the client expects.
Clients pay Fiverr for your Gig in advance. Once your order is successfully delivered and marked as complete, you'll receive 80% of the total order value. For example, if you price your service at $1,000, you'll receive $800 for that completed order. For Fiverr Pro, there's a 7-day clearing process before your earnings become available. For comprehensive details, please refer to our Terms of Service.
To deliver an order:
- Once logged in, from the selling menu, click "Dashboard".
- Within the 'To-Do's' section, find an active order and click "Deliver now".
Note: You can access your orders in several ways, such as within emails, notifications, or by going to your orders menu. - Within the order page, you can click deliver your order at the top, or scroll down to the bottom and click "Deliver now".
- To attach your delivery, click "Upload work".
Note: The single file limit is up to 1 GB. If you are not delivering a file, then you will be prompted to confirm that no file is attached. If your files exceed these limits, you can provide links to a third-party file-sharing service instead. - In the Describe your delivery in the details field, write a brief description of your delivery.
-
Select the image/file you want to be displayed in your Gig's Live Portfolio
Notes:- The reviews with files will appear on your Gig's Live Portfolio once your client approves it.
- The reviews with files cannot be changed once the delivery has been sent.
- Reviews with files cannot be added to your profile if the Live Portfolio feature is disabled at that time.
-
Click "Deliver work".
Notes:- If you are not ready to deliver your work, you can click "Save draft" to save what you have done. When you are ready, you can reopen this delivery and deliver your work.
- If a client is not satisfied with the delivery or would like a modification, you will see the "Redelivering" option. After modifying your delivery, click "Redeliver now" and then on the order page, click "Deliver modified work".
Helpful tips
-
- Before getting started, make sure you've aligned your expectations with a client, including deadlines, budget, and requirements. It's also a good idea to ask them for examples of their inspirations for design, quality, tone, etc.
- As a Fiverr Pro freelancer, you are allowed to exchange contact details with clients for call/conference purposes. Just make sure to summarize everything you agreed on during the call by Fiverr message (or using an attached document inside your Fiverr order) so that in case of a dispute/complaint, we can review your agreement with the client and protect you. If you've agreed to something but don't document it within Fiverr, we won't be able to help much in a dispute.
- Use quick responses when responding to messages to help save time.

- Never deliver an incomplete order to be on time - it's a violation of Fiverr's Terms of Service, and it won't end with a happy client. Instead, visit the Resolution Center to extend the delivery date of the order (select the number of days you would like to add to your delivery time and explain why to your client).
Note: In some cases, you can deliver a near-complete draft to the client (only if some insignificant finishing touches are missing), and you can make final tweaks during the revisions stage of the order. - Provide your clients with a status update regularly. Even if the order takes 90 days, or you haven't started yet, clients should feel that you didn't forget about the order.
- If you have an issue with an order, you can use the Resolution Center to assist you. You can extend the delivery time, offer additional revisions, add a custom extra for your client to accept, contact Customer Support for further assistance, etc. For more information, see Using the Resolution Center.
Note: You can also ask your Business Success Manager for advice. - You can boost your income by offering your clients extra services during the order process. For more information, see offering extra services within an active order.
- Be transparent in your messages; close each message with a clear call to action, such as a question or other reason for your client to reply. Your messages should never leave a client wondering where they stand.

- Upload a separate .jpg image file of the logo and select it for the Live Portfolio when delivering.
- Fiverr can add a watermark to delivered image files (jpg, png, etc.), which will be removed when the client accepts the final delivery.
Note: The watermark is only added to files in the delivery message. It is not added to files sent through the inbox or order messages.

Use Custom Offers and Milestones as a workaround for retainer/subscription-based work.
Note: Orders should be marked as delivered once the full service has been provided. Evidence of the work done should be sent as proof of delivery. -
Provide a final report document in your delivery for Gigs that are more service-related than deliverable-related.
-
- Use PDFs as an attachment to deliveries to show delivery samples in the Live Portfolio.
- Use Dropbox or other file-sharing sites to deliver files that exceed the Fiverr upload limit.
-
- We suggest providing a few screenshots or a screencast (video) of your final work to ensure you receive a client's final approval before fully delivering your website design and development work (ex: source files and code).
- Have a website design or programming order that has a few stages and milestones before final delivery? We suggest creating a custom offer that includes milestones. For example: consider creating three milestones to reflect each phase of the project. (First: Working on the mockup for approval; Second: Delivering the project based on the design; Third: Revising the order, if required + extra services, like SSL, hosting set-up, etc.)
