How do I qualify for a Top Rated review? 

All Top Rated freelancers are individually reviewed and approved by Fiverr’s evaluation team. 

To qualify for this review, you must first meet the following criteria.

Some categories require additional prerequisites or mandatory skill tests before you can progress to a review.

What happens after I qualify?

Once you meet the criteria, the evaluation team reviews your eligibility for Top Rated status. The team currently focuses on high-demand categories that are in need of more Top Rated freelancers.

After the review, you receive an email with the team's decision.

  • If you are approved: You see your new Top Rated status on your dashboard and your level overview page.
  • If you are not approved: You receive an email with the primary reason for the decision. You stay at Level 2, and if your metrics still qualify in six months, you are eligible for another review. 

How does the Top Rated review work?

The evaluation team performs a holistic review, examining four key areas when considering your eligibility for Top Rated status.

    • Proficiency and Quality: The actual quality of your final deliverables in relation to the scope and complexity of the services you provide.

  • A smooth and professional client experience is essential. This pillar evaluates how effectively you manage client interactions from the initial message to final delivery.

    What the team looks for:

    • Responsiveness: Your overall response rate and ability to reply to client inquiries promptly.
    • Expectation Setting: Your skill in setting clear expectations regarding delivery timelines, scope of work, and revisions to avoid misunderstandings.
    • Seamless Experience: Providing consistently smooth service that makes the client feel valued and informed throughout the process.
  • This pillar assesses how you present yourself and your services on the platform, ensuring you are easy to find, understand, and trustworthy.

    • Gig and profile structure: The clarity, organization, and completeness of your Gigs and freelancer profile. Your descriptions should be well-written and accurately reflect your offerings.
    • Feature utilization: Effective use of platform features, such as:
      • An intro video to personally connect with prospective clients.
      • A portfolio to clearly showcase your best work, skills, and experience.
  • This is a non-negotiable pillar that ensures a safe and trustworthy marketplace for everyone.

    What the team looks for:

    • Terms of Service adherence: Verification that all your account activity and conversations comply with our Terms of Service.
    • Community standards: Confirmation that your content and behavior adhere to the Community standards, maintaining a professional environment.

Build an attractive and trustworthy presence on Fiverr with exceptional Gig pages and a freelancer profile.

Misrepresent yourself or your business.

Clearly represent your qualifications, services, and identity. Refrain from unauthorized use of content or deceptive pricing in all aspects of your Gig offerings.

Deliver exceptional value.

Ensure every service you offer provides outstanding value in terms of price, timeliness, and expertise. Demonstrate flexibility to customize your work according to the buyer's specific needs.

Duplicate any active Gigs or services.

Ensure your Gigs offer different services and are not synonymous with each other.

Make sure to meet client expectations.

Provide services that match your Gig’s description and requirements.

Don’t violate our Terms of Service or Community Standards.

Your participation in the level system is determined by your content and behavior on the platform.

How do I maintain Top Rated status?

As a Top Rated freelancer, you must maintain the required metrics to keep your status.

If any of your metrics fall below the minimum requirements, you enter a 30-day grace period.

  • If you improve your metrics during that time, you keep your Top Rated status.
  • If you are unable to improve, the evaluation team reviews your account to determine whether or not you can remain Top Rated. Your Top Rated status prevents you from being automatically moved to a lower level.

If the team decides you should move to a lower level, you can be evaluated again after a six-month waiting period if your metrics still qualify.

What’s the timeline for the review and category openings?

Our review process ensures that each qualified freelancer receives the attention they deserve.

The evaluation team prioritizes reviews for high-demand categories that need more Top Rated freelancers, where those freelancers can benefit from more business. If your Gigs are not in one of the categories listed below, we are unable to estimate a time frame for your review.

FAQs

  • You can access your Level overview page by navigating to Growth & Marketing → Level Overview. A progress tracker shows your current level and all the requirements for the next level (including Top Rated). Each requirement is displayed with your current status and whether you meet it. If you meet a requirement, it’s marked as complete; if not, it’s highlighted as needing improvement.
  • Fiverr’s system automatically checks eligibility for Top Rated status daily. As soon as you meet all the requirements, a banner will appear on your homepage indicating you are under review. The actual review is performed by Fiverr’s evaluation team. Once the evaluation is complete, you will be notified via the banner on your homepage and by email whether you have been approved or rejected for Top Rated status.
  • If you were rejected, you can be re-evaluated for Top Rated status after 180 days (6 months) if you continue to meet the criteria.
