Working with Logo Maker files

To maintain the logo’s high quality (and support transparent backgrounds), we deliver it as several PNG files.

In general, PNG is a higher-quality compression format; whereas JPEG images are generally of lower quality, but are faster to load. A PNG image will look crisper and clearer than a JPEG of equal file size. As such, to make sure your logo images are of the finest quality, we do not convert them to JPEG.

Nonetheless, if you’d like to convert your PNG to a JPEG, follow the instructions below, based on your operating system:

Mac

  1. Open the folder where you downloaded the .zip file (usually, this is your Downloads folder).
  2. Double-click on the PNG logo image to open it with Preview.
  3. Via the File Menu, click on Export.
  4. Select JPEG as the file format.
  5. Name your file and choose the folder where you want to save your JPEG file.

Windows

  1. Open the folder where you downloaded the .zip file (usually, this is your Downloads folder)
  2. Right-click on the file and go to Open With.
  3. Open the file by selecting Paint.
  4. Via the File Menu, click on Save As.
  5. Select JPEG as the file format.
  6. Name your file and choose the folder where you want to save your JPEG file.

Do I receive a logo with a transparent background?

Yes! You receive a high-quality PNG logo with a transparent background, regardless of the package you purchased.

We provide your PNG logo in 3 forms:

  • Original logo & background
  • Original logo with transparent background
  • Grayscale logo with transparent background

What are the dimensions of the files that I have received?

All packages provide you with high-quality PNG logos for digital use.

The PNG logos are provided in high resolution (300 dpi). Since logos can have different layouts, there are no predefined dimensions for the PNG files. You can check the actual dimensions of your PNG logos using your device’s image-viewing applications.

If you purchased the Professional or Unlimited package, you received additional deliverables such as an SVG source file, website favicon, zoom backgrounds, brand guidelines, and the social media kit:

Brand guidelines
This is a PDF file with a set of guidelines outlining the fonts, colors, and visuals used in your logo design to help your team (e.g., designers, developers, etc.) build a consistent brand.
Please note: Some of the dimensions for the Social Media Kit files may vary slightly from what is mentioned above, since they can be affected by the layout of your logo.

How do I download the .zip file?

After having placed your order, you will be redirected to the post order page.

To download the .zip file, click on the “Download Assets” button. If you have multiple variations of your logo, you can navigate between them using the arrow buttons, and click on the “Download Assets” button for any logo variation you wish to download.

Note: Your order confirmation email holds the link to the post order page, so you can always go back to it from there. Alternatively, to reach the post order page you can access the “My Designs” tab in your Saved Logos section and click on your purchased logo.

How can I extract the files that I have received?

After downloading the file, you will notice that it is packaged as a .zip file. This compresses the deliverables and allows you to receive the delivery in one organized folder.

You can easily open and extract your logo files for use. The easiest way is using a computer, as some mobile devices can’t open and extract .zip files.

To unzip your files, follow the instructions below, based on your operating system:
