If you want to stop using Fiverr, you can either deactivate your account temporarily or permanently delete it. Deactivation lets you step away and come back later, while deletion permanently removes your account and personal data.
Before you begin
- Refund or withdraw your funds: You must refund or withdraw any available balance before you deactivate. Accounts with a Fiverr balance or earned revenues cannot be deactivated or deleted.
- Download your information: Download any files, invoices, or data you need before you request deletion. Once your account is deleted, we cannot edit or reissue invoices or any other account information.
- Usernames and email addresses cannot be reused: If you plan to open a new account with the same email address, change your email address before deactivating your current one. Learn more about managing your account settings.
- Data retention and visibility: Deactivation doesn't clear all records; public images, messages, and reviews stay on the platform, and you will still be associated with them. If you wish to remove your association with this content you will need to permanently delete your account.
Account deactivation
Deactivating your account closes it temporarily. Your profile, feedback, messages, and public pictures remain on Fiverr but are not visible to others. You can reactivate at any time by contacting Customer Support.
Note: 12 months after deactivation, your account will be deleted, therefore you will no longer be able to reactivate your account or access any of its content.

- Click on Account settings.
- Go to Personal information.
- Next to Deactivate account, click Deactivate.
- Select a reason from the dropdown menu.
- Click Confirm deactivation.

- Choose Deactivate account, and click Continue to Account deactivation.

Reactivating your account
If you deactivate your account and change your mind, you can request reactivation by contacting Customer Support. You will need to reach out from the email address registered to the account.
Note: If your account has been deactivated for more than 12 months, reactivation is no longer possible, and you will not be able to access any of its content.
Permanent account deletion
Permanently deleting your account removes your profile and personal data from Fiverr. This action is irreversible. Before you proceed, review your orders and messages to retrieve any files or information you may need.
Permanent deletion is available on the Fiverr apps or through Customer Support.
Note: Once your account is permanently deleted, it cannot be restored.
