Account roles and management

Fiverr Pro accounts let teams collaborate on projects, payments, and orders. Each member has a role with specific permissions to keep work organized and secure. This article explains the different Fiverr Pro roles, what each role allows, and how Admins can manage invitations, permissions, and account access.

Overview of account roles

The Fiverr Pro account structure includes three distinct roles. It is important to understand the capabilities of each to manage your team's workflow and security.

Admin

The account owner who has full access to manage the account, finances, and account members. Teams can have only one Admin. Assigning a new Admin will make the previous Admin a regular member.

  • Remove members from the team, manage projects and finances, and place orders . Admins can implement policies requiring approval when members invite new users

Billing manager

A role focused on financial management. Only the admin can assign this role, and unlimited number of members can hold billing manager permissions.

  • Access billing history, download invoices, deposit funds, edit billing information, change payment methods, and hire freelancers. An admin can assign a billing manager, either an existing member or a new user, to give them access to the account’s billing history and permission to edit billing details, while the admin always retains full billing manager permissions.

Member

The standard role for purchasing orders, collaborating on projects with other members and interacting with freelancers.

  • Create and track projects, place orders, and save freelancers.

For the Fiverr Pro Business Rewards program, only admins and billing managers can redeem gift cards or use points for donations. Members can only redeem Fiverr Credits. Learn more about the Fiverr Pro Business Rewards program.

How to invite members

All Pro clients can invite people to join the account. You can invite non-Fiverr users via email; they need to click on the invite link from the email, sign up, and create a Fiverr Pro account to collaborate. To invite people:

  1. Click your Profile picture, and select Administration Account members. If you are not the Admin you can select Account members.
  2. Click Invite members located in the top right corner of the page.
  3. In the pop-up window, enter the email address (separate multiple emails with Enter).

Make sure to not input an email address that is already associated with another Pro account.

  4. Admins can assign the role Member or Billing manager from the invite.
  5. Click Yes, Invite. The recipient will receive an email invitation. Their status will be listed as Pending until they accept.

Admins can set a policy to approve member-sent invitations before they’re sent. To set up the policy:

  1. Go to Administration Approval policies via your Profile picture.
  2. For Invitation policy select Add policy.
  3. Select who it will apply to Billing managers, members or both.
  4. Click on Create policy.
  5. You will now receive a notification to approve an invitation before it is sent out to the invitee.

How can admins manage account members

Admins can update a member's role or remove them from the account.

  1. As the Admin, go to Administration Account members via your Profile picture.
  2. To change a role: Click the dropdown arrow (^) under the Role column and select the new role (e.g., Member, Billing manager).
  3. To deactivate/remove: Click the ellipses (...) next to the member's name and select the appropriate action.

Removing a member will automatically deactivate (close) that member’s account. If the member wishes to continue in Fiverr, they will need to create a new Fiverr account.
