Payment methods

Fiverr has a number of available payment methods. The different available payment methods are dependent on the type of device being used, your country of residence, and regulatory permissions.

Available payment methods

The available payment methods are listed below. Please note that payment options may vary depending on your country or location due to restrictions imposed by individual payment providers, which are not controlled by Fiverr. We do not currently accept cryptocurrency.

  • If you're using Fiverr's iOS mobile app, you can make purchases using Apple Pay.
  • This payment method is not available for use in all countries. View the list of countries available here.
• Available for use on Fiverr. Make purchases using almost any type of major credit/debit card.
• Available for use on Fiverr. Make purchases using the funds you have in your Fiverr Balance.

  • If you're using Fiverr's Android mobile app, you can make purchases using Google Pay.
  • This payment method is not available for use in all countries. View the list of countries available here. 
• iDEAL is an online banking payment method exclusively in the Netherlands that allows users to make payments using direct online transfers from their bank account.

  • You can pay with PayPal. You also have the option to connect your PayPal account with your Fiverr account for a faster check-out. 
  • This payment method is not available for use in all countries. View the list of countries available here.

  • Making a payment with Pay Later is now available to selected clients. This option through PayPal offers three payment methods: pay in 4 installments, pay monthly, or use existing credits. Whether you already have PayPal credit or not, you can use this option: existing users can access it directly, while new users can apply for approval.
  • This payment method is available only for users in the U.S. marketplace and to Fiverr Pro admins and financial managers.
• The Venmo app can only be used by our clients located in the United States.

  • Electronic payment services for transferring funds by wire are accepted (e.g. SWIFT, the Federal Reserve Wire Network, or the Clearing House Interbank Payments System)
  • This payment method is only available for Fiverr Pro clients.

  • The total amount due
  • The amount you have available on your personal balance
  • The amount that needs to be paid for with another payment source (PayPal or Credit card)—if the purchase is for more than what's in your personal balance
    
    Note: If you're making a purchase as a member of a team account, you won't be able to use a second payment source. In these cases, if the purchase is larger than the amount in your balance, you may only use one payment source.

Save and remove your payment method

Save your preferred method of payment for an easier and faster checkout when purchasing on Fiverr. You can save your credit, debit card, or your PayPal account as your preferred method of payment.

To see how to set up your preferred method, see the instructions below:

• To save your card details:

  1. On the Confirm & Pay page > Credit & Debit Cards.
  2. Mark the save as default checkbox.
  3. Complete the required card details.
  4. Click Make Payment.
     Tip: Your card details will now be saved for the next purchase!

   To pay with your saved card:

  1.  On the Confirm & Pay page > Credit & Debit Cards.
  2.  Click Place Your Order.

• To connect your PayPal account:

  1.  On the Confirm & Pay page > PayPal.
  2.  Mark the Remember for future payments checkbox.
  3.  Click PayPal Checkout.
  4. You will be redirected to PayPal.
     
     Note: Be sure to follow the instructions. Once your payment is approved, your PayPal Account will be connected.

   To pay with your connected PayPal Account:

  1. On the payment page > Place Your Order.
  2. Your PayPal Account will be charged with no additional login required.
     
     Note: You can pay with a different funding source or a different account by clicking the dropdown arrow next to your saved PayPal account.
• To connect your PayPal mobile for Android:
  1. Click the 3 dashes on the top left > Settings > Payment Options.

Note: When subscribing to any of our monthly programs or features, such as Seller Plus or Fiverr Pro, you must check a box to agree that your membership will automatically renew each month.

Removing a saved payment method

Note: Fiverr Pro admins can add or remove cards within 'Billing' under 'Payment method.'

  1. Log in and click your profile picture.
  2. Go to your Billing and Payments > Payment methods.
  3. Credit Card for Payments or PayPal for Payments > Remove.

FAQs

• The payment providers you see on the checkout page are those available to you depending on your country of residence. We are limited by the list of countries where our third-party payment providers offer services.
  
  Note: We are constantly adding new payment methods so stay tuned for updates.
• At this time, we don't have the option for clients to load funds into their Fiverr Balance. The reason why some accounts have an available balance is that they have earned revenues, refunds from canceled orders, or funds added by Fiverr as credits.
  
  Note: Cash deposits can be made on Fiverr Pro accounts.
• If your payment method is not being used consistently, our system will remove it. This is an automated process where we will remove the payment method if it isn’t used for over 4 months. If you are still experiencing payment issues, see Payment issues.
• As a client, if you receive a refund, it will appear in your Fiverr Balance and can be used for another purchase. If an order is canceled, your refund (the original order amount and service fee) will be placed in your Fiverr Balance.
