Payment methods

Fiverr has a number of available payment methods. The different available payment methods are dependent on the type of device being used, your country of residence, and regulatory permissions.

Disclaimer: Each payment provider has their own restrictions for available countries/locations. These limitations are not set by Fiverr.

The different payment methods/options you can pay with are listed below.

Note: We currently do not accept crypto as a payment method.

Apple Pay

If you're using Fiverr's iOS mobile app, you can make purchases using Apple Pay.

This payment method is not available for use in all countries.

This payment method is available in Brazil, enabling offline cash payment for online services.

Make purchases using almost any type of major credit/debit card.

Fiverr Balance

Make purchases using the funds you have in your Fiverr balance.

Google Pay

If you're using Fiverr's Android mobile app, you can make purchases using Google Pay.

This payment method is not available for use in all countries.

iDEAL

iDEAL is an online banking payment method in the Netherlands that allows users to make payments using direct online transfers from their bank account.

PayPal

You can pay with PayPal. You also have the option to connect your PayPal account with your Fiverr account for a faster check-out. 

This payment method is not available for use in all countries.

PayPal Pay Later

Making a payment with Pay Later is now available to selected buyers. This option through PayPal offers three payment methods: pay in 4 installments, pay monthly, or use existing credits. Whether you already have PayPal credit or not, you can use this option: existing users can access it directly, while new users can apply for approval.

This payment method is available only for users in the U.S. marketplace and to Fiverr Pro admins and financial managers. 

Wire Transfer

Electronic payment services for transferring funds by wire are accepted (e.g. SWIFT, the Federal Reserve Wire Network, or the Clearing House Interbank Payments System).

This payment method is only available for Fiverr Pro clients. 


Using your Fiverr balance

If you have funds in your account balance, they will be automatically applied to your next purchase.
If the purchase is for a higher amount than what you have available in your balance, you can use another source of payment to complete the purchase.

On the checkout page, you will see:
  • The total amount due
  • The amount you have available on your personal balance
  • The amount that needs to be paid for with another payment source (PayPal or Credit card)—if the purchase is for more than what's in your personal balance

    Note: If you're making a purchase as a member of a team account, you won't be able to use a second payment source. In these cases, if the purchase is larger than the amount in your balance, you may only use one payment source.

FAQs

  1. Why is my preferred payment method not available?
    The payment providers you see on the checkout page are those available to you depending on your country of residence. We are limited by the list of countries where our third-party payment providers offer services.
    Note: We are constantly adding new payment methods so stay tuned for updates.
  2. How do I make a cash deposit to my account?
    At this time, we don't have the option for buyers to load funds into their Fiverr balance. The reason why some accounts have an available balance is that they have earned revenues, refunds from canceled orders, or funds added by Fiverr as credits.
    Note: Cash deposits can be made on Fiverr Pro accounts.
  3. Will my credit card be removed after a certain period of time?
    If your payment method is not being used consistently, our system will remove it. This is an automated process where we will remove the payment method if it isn’t used for over 4 months. If you are still experiencing payment issues, see Payment issues.

  4. How do I get funds to my Fiverr balance?
    As a buyer, if you receive a refund, it will appear in your Fiverr balance and can be used for another purchase. If an order is canceled, your refund (the original order amount and service fee) will be placed in your Fiverr balance.
