There are a few different ways to save on Fiverr: freelancer coupons sent directly to you by a freelancer, promo codes issued by Fiverr, and first-time client promotions offered on individual Gigs. This article explains each one and how to use them.
Freelancer coupons
Freelancer coupons are discounts that Seller Plus freelancers send directly to clients they've worked with before. There are two types:
- Repeat client coupons: Sent through Fiverr's notifications system. Valid for 30 days.
- Custom offer coupons: Attached to a custom offer. Valid for 24 hours.
When a freelancer sends you a repeat client coupon, you'll receive an email and an in-app notification.
- Click the email or notification to go to the freelancer's Gig or profile page.
- A banner on the page shows your discount.
- When you place your order, the coupon is automatically applied on the payment page.
On the payment page, you can continue and pay with the coupon applied, or choose to remove it. If you remove the coupon, Fiverr will hold onto it so you can use it on a future order.
- If a freelancer sends you a custom offer with a coupon attached, the discount is applied automatically. All you need to do is accept the offer before it expires (within 24 hours).
Freelancer coupon terms
The coupon is personal and non-transferable. Only the client who received it can use it.
On Fiverr Pro accounts, only the team member who placed the order can use the coupon; other team members on the same account cannot.
Coupons only apply to orders of $15 or more.
- One coupon per order. You cannot stack coupons.
- Coupons cannot be combined with Fiverr Credits, promo codes, first-time client promotions, or any other discount.
- Coupons cannot be used when leaving a tip.
- For milestone orders, the discount applies to the first milestone only.
- For subscription orders, the discount applies to the first payment only.
If an order placed with a coupon is cancelled for any reason, the coupon becomes invalid and cannot be reused or replaced.
Promo codes
Promo codes are issued by Fiverr as part of promotions and campaigns. If you received a promo code, you can apply it during checkout.
How to apply a promo code
- Find the Gig you want and go to the Order page.
- Customize your order and proceed to Payment.
- In the Summary section, enter your promo code, click Apply, then click Confirm & Pay.
Promo codes must be entered manually. If you don't click Apply before completing the payment, the code will not be added to your order.
Promo code terms
You can only apply one promo code per order. Codes cannot be stacked.
- Promo codes can only be used when paying with an external payment method, such as a credit card or PayPal.
- Promo codes cannot be combined with Fiverr Credits. If your Fiverr Balance fully covers the order amount, adding a promo code will produce an error. If your balance only partially covers the order, the discount applies to the remaining amount charged to your card or PayPal.
- Promo codes must be applied before completing payment. They cannot be added to an order that has already been placed.
Individual promo codes may have an expiry date, apply only to certain order types (such as Pro orders), or require a minimum order amount.
Check the details of your specific code before using it.
If your promo code isn't working
Make sure you clicked Apply after entering the code. Clicking Confirm & Pay without clicking Apply first will not add the code to your order.
This usually means the code was entered incorrectly. Check for extra spaces before or after the code, or missing characters at the end.
Promo codes have expiry dates. If your code has passed its expiry, it can no longer be used.
To verify if your code expired you can check:
- The original email or notification you received when the code was issued.
- The checkout page. If the code is expired, entering it will show an error.
If you received a promo code from a site that is not Fiverr, you'll need to contact that site directly. Fiverr cannot help with codes issued by third-party or affiliate websites.
Banners don't disappear automatically. Click the X on the banner to close it manually.
First-time client promotions
Some freelancers offer a special discount to clients who have never ordered from them before.
- How to find one: If a freelancer is running a promotion, you'll see a pop-up on their Gig page showing the discount, expiry date, and any other details.
- How it's applied: The discounted price is applied to your order automatically.
- Eligible orders: Gig orders of $15 or more only. Does not apply to custom offers.
- Early end: Some promotions may end before their listed expiry date.
First-time client promotions cannot be combined with freelancer coupons, promo codes, or any other discounted rates.
