Getting it write! Get to know your client with this client’s questionnaire
The process of writing an article or blog post for your client just became much easier! To find the right words, you need to have the full context. Here is a list of questions to ask your client to help you build the perfect piece of content.
Generic context:
- Business or personal use?
- Purpose of the content? Are you looking to create content to drive organic visitors, or are you looking to write content to be a thought leader?
- Who is your reader and what is your target audience?
Content for thought leadership - questions to ask:
- In what industry is your business? And is there a website?
- What is the topic of the post?
- What is the tone of voice?
- Do you have any brand voice & tone guidelines that I should adhere to?
- Do you have any Social Media examples that you can share with me?
- Do you have any research that you want me to include?
- Do you want me to conduct additional research?
- Do you have any previous samples or existing blogs that you want me to refer to?
- Do you want the article/blog post to include SEO-optimized keywords?
- What type of engagement do you expect from the article?
Content for traffic generation - questions to ask:
- In what industry is your business? And is there a website?
