Managing Gig extras, source files, and shipping

Gig extras let you offer additional services beyond your base packages, so you can earn more and give clients more choices. You can add extras like fast delivery, extra revisions, source files, and shipping costs directly from the Pricing tab when editing your Gig. This article explains how each type of extra works and how to set it up.

Before you begin

  • You must be a registered freelancer with at least one active Gig to add extras.
  • Gig creation and publishing are not supported on phones or tablets; desktop or laptop only.

How Gig extras work

Gig extras are optional add-ons that clients can purchase alongside your base package. They let you show clients the full range of services you offer without changing your core package prices. Each extra has its own price and, where applicable, its own delivery time.

The three main types of extras are:

  • Fast delivery: Gives the client the option to receive their order faster than the original delivery time in the purchased package.
  • Revisions: Lets you offer additional revisions at an extra cost. This also helps set clear expectations and limits on how many revisions you provide.
  • Additional extras: Any other service related to your specific offering. These increase the order value while providing more value for the client.

How to add Gig extras

1. Go to your Gigs tab.

2. Click Edit on the Gig you want to update.

3. Go to the Pricing tab.

4. Add the extras you want to offer and set the price for each one.

5. Click Save.

You can add Gig extras when preparing a custom offer or after the order is live.

Offering source files

When you create your Gig, you can offer source files as an extra. We recommend uploading source files with every delivery, even if the client did not purchase the source file extra. If a client did not select it, the source files will be offered for sale when you deliver the order.

If a client purchases the source file extra, you must upload the source files when you deliver the order.

How to turn on the source file extra

  1. In your Gig's Extras section, mark the checkbox next to Source file extra. Once a client purchases this extra, it appears on the order page.
  2. On the order page, go to Deliver your order and click Deliver now. If your work is not ready, select Save draft.
  3. To attach your completed work, select Upload work.
  4. To attach your source files, select Upload source files. You can upload files up to 5GB.
  5. In the Describe what you've done section, briefly describe your delivery and click Deliver work. If the client requests revisions, click Redeliver now to access the Deliver modified work button.

Offering shipping for physical Gigs

Some services on Fiverr require physical delivery, such as arts and crafts or collectibles. For these Gigs, you need to include a flat-rate shipping fee that covers both local and international shipping. You add this fee directly into your package prices.

How to include shipping costs in your Gig packages

  1. Go to your Gigs that include shipping and click Edit Gig.
  2. Go to the Pricing tab.
  3. In the Shipping section, unselect the current shipping option.
  4. In the Packages table, do the following:
    • Select Shipping to indicate that your Gig price includes shipping.
    • Update your package Price to include a flat-rate shipping fee.
    • If needed, update Delivery Time.
  5. Click Save.
