Price upfront: Clear and predictable pricing

Enjoy a more predictable shopping experience with transparent pricing that shows you exactly what you’ll pay from the start. We want to make your experience on Fiverr as transparent and reliable as possible. To help you browse with confidence, we have updated how prices are displayed in select regions so that the amount you see is the amount you pay.

Overview

Price upfront is a display enhancement that shows the final total price of a service before you reach the checkout page. This means the price you see while browsing now includes Fiverr service fees.

You will see the total cost of a service earlier in your journey, instead of at the last step of your purchase. When comparing different Gigs, the process is easier because all costs are already included in the listed price.

How does upfront pricing work?

When browsing Fiverr from certain regions, the price shown on Gig listings, search results, and custom offers is the "all-in" price. The amount includes the base service price plus Fiverr service.

While browsing or before pre-checkout, you will see short tooltips or messaging explaining that the price includes all required fees. The price you see while browsing matches what you pay at checkout.

Important: Prices in search results are rounded up. However, you will see the exact price once you enter the Gig page or go through the checkout process.

What this means for freelancers

If you are a freelancer, this update only changes how total prices are displayed to certain clients in certain regions.

  • How much you earn on each Gig does not change.
  • You continue to set your own Gig or hourly prices.
  • Your recommendation algorithm and ranking are not affected.
  • No action is required from you; Fiverr handles the calculation automatically based on the client's location

All freelancers in specific regions are shown using the same price logic, ensuring a level playing field.

FAQs

  • No, because fees are now included earlier, the initial price may appear higher than before. However, since all Gigs in the applicable regions follow the same rules, the marketplace remains fair and competitive. Clients benefit from knowing the real cost immediately, which helps reduce drop-off at checkout.
  • No. This is strictly a display change and does not impact the recommendation algorithm or how Gigs are ranked in search results.
