Setting up PayPal as a payout method

PayPal lets you withdraw your Fiverr earnings directly to your PayPal account in your preferred currency. Setup is quick, but you must complete it on desktop before you can use it for withdrawals. Once your PayPal account is set up, you can make future withdrawals using the Fiverr mobile app.

Before you begin

  • You must complete setup and your first withdrawal on desktop. After that, you can withdraw using the mobile app.
  • You must use a verified PayPal account. You can verify your PayPal account by adding and confirming a bank account with PayPal.
  • You can link a withdrawal method to only one Fiverr account.
  • PayPal withdrawals are available only in countries where PayPal supports receiving payments. Some countries are not supported, and this list may change.

Setting up PayPal

  1. On your Earnings page, go to Manage payout methods and select PayPal.
  2. Set up the currency you want to withdraw in and select Save.
  3. Log in to PayPal to verify your account and confirm the connection to your Fiverr account.
  4. Complete phone verification. Your PayPal method is active once you finish phone verification.

Withdrawal details

  • Transfer time: usually immediately, up to 24 hours.
  • Withdrawal fee: Fiverr doesn't charge a fee to withdraw to PayPal. However, currency conversion fees may apply. PayPal may also apply its own conversion rates and fees.
  • Minimum withdrawal: $1 USD.

Changing your withdrawal currency

You can change your withdrawal currency at any time, on desktop or the mobile app.

  1. On your Earnings page, go to Manage payout methods.
  2. Select the three dots next to PayPal and choose Change currency.

Troubleshooting

I am not receiving the withdrawal confirmation email. Delete all previous withdrawal emails from your inbox and check your spam folder. If your email uses a private domain, consider switching to a public domain (such as Yahoo or Google), as private domains may have extra spam filters that block these emails.

My withdrawal failed. If a withdrawal fails, your funds stay in your Fiverr account and you can withdraw them again. Check that your PayPal account is verified and can receive payments in your country, then try again.

  • You can set one currency at a time. To change the currency later, go to your Earnings page, select Manage payout methods, then select the three dots next to PayPal and choose Change currency.
  • Yes. If your PayPal email address changed, update your payout method on your Earnings page to avoid failed withdrawals.
  • Yes, you can use a PayPal business account. In some countries where personal PayPal accounts can't receive payments, a business account may allow you to withdraw.
  • PayPal withdrawals are available only in countries where PayPal supports receiving payments. If PayPal doesn't support receiving payments in your country, you can't withdraw with a personal PayPal account.
  • We send you a confirmation email for every withdrawal. Funds usually arrive in your PayPal account immediately, but it can take up to 24 hours.
  • We strongly recommend against this. Adding another person's PayPal to your account creates security risks and can compromise your account integrity. If any issues arise from using a third party's withdrawal method, we are unable to assist. If the PayPal account was used on another Fiverr account, we may disable your withdrawals.
