How to take a Skills Test
Note: You must publish a Gig before you take a skills test.
- Click on your Profile Image > Profile.
- On your Profile Page, click Take a Test (located on the left panel).
- From the category drop-down list, select the Skill Test you would like to take.
Note: The search option can also be used to find a Skill Test. - Carefully read the instructions, and click Start Test.
Note: Once you pass a test, relevant skills related to the test you took will be marked as verified (with a green checkmark).
How to retake a Skills Test
- Click on your Profile Image > Profile.
- On your Profile Page, click Retake Test (located on the left panel) > select the skill you'd like to validate.

1. How can I validate my skills?
In order to validate your skills:
a. Click Take a Test > select the skill you'd like to validate.
b. You'll be required to answer 40 questions with a time limit of up to 40 minutes.
c. You'll receive a grade and a breakdown of your answers.
d. Once validated, you'll have the option to display it in your Profile or to hide it.
2. How often can I take a Skills Test?
There is a one-day waiting period between test retakes.
You may only take a test twice within a three-month period.
If you choose to show your Skill Test results, users will see various details—your score, your ranking by percentage, your time spent on topics, your results by topic, and more.
a. To pass the skill test, you are required to answer a minimum of 60%-80% of the questions correctly.
b. Your percentile is defined dynamically, based on other test-takers.
c. The time it takes you to complete the test is tracked.
- Click on your Profile > click on the test you would like to hide
- Click Show on My Profile to enable/disable your test results.
