How to deactivate or permanently delete your account

If you’ve decided that you no longer want to use Fiverr, this article will guide you through the steps to either deactivate or permanently delete your account. Whether you're stepping away temporarily or permanently closing your account, it's important to understand the process and implications. 

This process can be done from your desktop, iOS, or Android app

 


 

You must deactivate your account on your end before our Customer Support team can permanently delete your Fiverr account upon request.

Key considerations before deactivating your account

Important things to remember before you deactivate your account:

  • Refund or withdraw your funds: Ensure that you refund or withdraw any available funds before deactivating your account. Accounts with available funds (Fiverr balance or earned revenues) cannot be deactivated.

  • Download all your information: Make sure to download all necessary information before closing your account and requesting its deletion. Once your account is deleted we cannot edit or reissue invoices or any other information related to the account.
  • Usernames and email addresses cannot be reused: If you plan to open a new account, change your email address before deactivating the current one. Learn more about changing your email or username.

  • Deactivation doesn't automatically remove account Information: Feedback comments, messages, and public pictures will remain unless you permanently delete your account.

How to deactivate your Fiverr account

Please note, 12 months after deactivation, you will not be able to re-activate your account or access any of its content

    1. Click on your profile picture.
    2. Go to My settings > Account deactivation.
    3. Select a reason from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click Deactivate account.
  • Please ensure that your mobile device has the most recent version of the Fiverr app installed.

    1. Click on the profile icon.
    2. Under Settings, click on Account > Account management.
    3. Click on Deactivation and deletion > Deactivate account.
    4. Continue to Account deactivation.
    5. Select a reason from the dropdown menu.
    6. Click Deactivate account
    7. Click on the profile icon.

If you decide to reactivate your deactivated account, please contact Customer Support using the Contact us tab at the bottom of the page.

 

How to permanently delete your account

Once you permanently delete your account, you won't be able to reactivate it, and the process cannot be reversed.

Before you permanently delete your account, review your orders and messages to retrieve any files and information you might need in the future.


    1. First, deactivate your account by following the steps above.
    2. Once deactivated, contact Support to permanently delete your account.
  • Please ensure that your mobile device has the most recent version of the Fiverr app installed.
    1. Click on the profile icon.

    2. Under Settings, click on Account > Account management.
    3. Click on Deactivation and deletion > Delete account.
    4. Continue to Account deletion.
    5. Select a reason from the dropdown menu.
    6. Click Delete account.
