Your Fiverr inbox is the central hub for all communication, whether you're discussing a potential project or working on an active order. Once an order is placed, those conversations move to the order messages section.
Let's review important information about message files, including size limits, archiving, and deletion.
Automated archiving
Attachments that haven't been accessed in two years are automatically archived.
If you try to download an archived attachment, the download will initially fail, triggering a 12-hour restoration process. After this process is completed, you'll be able to download the attachment.
For example, if you try to download a file from December 2022 today, it will be available for download within 12 hours.
Note: If the file(s) remains unavailable after 12 hours, please contact Customer Support.
Deleted attachments
Attachments are automatically deleted three years after they are sent. Please note that Fiverr cannot retrieve these files, as they are permanently removed from the system.
Files that are part of a delivery message will not be deleted.
Note: Files sent through inbox, order chat, or order requirements prior to May 2018 might remain available.
File sizes for messages
- Freelancers and clients can send files up to 1GB in size, regardless of the number of files uploaded. This means that even if you upload five 20MB files, they count toward the 1GB limit.
- Freelancers and clients can send files up to 5GB in size. This limit applies to all delivery and order messages. As with the inbox, uploading one 5GB file is equivalent to uploading five 1GB files.
