Products and software- Microsoft 365 for clients

Clients will be able to purchase the Microsoft 365 Plan that fits their needs via a unique link generated by the freelancer or through the Products & software dashboard.

Clients will be able to choose from 4 different plans. The plan can be purchased monthly or yearly.

  1. Open the link given by the freelancer, it leads to the Microsoft 365 plan selection page on Fiverr.
  2. Select a plan.
  3. The subscription setup screen will open, allowing the client to select their preferences:

    1. Plan information.

    2. Select the number of users from 1 to 50.

    3. Payment plan selection.

  4. Join/Login to Fiverr.
  5. Proceed to checkout.
  6. Once the payment has been processed:

    1. You will receive a confirmation email & your invoice will be found under the “Billing and payments”page.

    2. The freelancer will receive a notification email.

  7. To get started with Microsoft 365, you will need to create/log in to a Microsoft account.
    When creating a Microsoft account on Fiverr, there is an option to select if you are an existing Microsoft customer.
  • Microsoft customers are able to provide their Microsoft domain to create their account. 

    • Once the account is created and is approved via the review process, the client will receive an email with a link to Microsoft to accept the partnership agreement with Fiverr. Once accepted, the subscription will be active. 

      Note: For existing Microsoft customers, the subscription will be activated automatically once the partnership is accepted
  • After purchasing a subscription, you will need to set up a Microsoft 365 account on Fiver. (linking the subscription to your Microsoft account and to Fiverr)
     

    • This step includes filling out the required fields. You will fill out your account name and full address.  

    • Choose your Microsoft domain and add a primary contact. 
      Note: When you sign up for Microsoft 365, Microsoft provides an onmicrosoft.com domain.

    • Go to Microsoft.com to accept the partnership agreement and activate your subscription.

    • Once the account is created, the subscription will be activated and the client will get an email with their login credentials to the Microsoft admin portal.

The pricing of the plan is based on rates for the specific plan by country. Currently this is only available for supporting clients in the US. Freelance IT support professionals with experience in Microsoft 365, specifically supporting clients in the USA will be invited to the program.

Because clients will be working with IT professionals, delegating access will let the freelancer set up everything instead of the client.

This process gives clients the ability to allow freelancers access to their purchased subscriptions and to manage them. Freelancers with access are able to:

  • Create and edit the MS account.
  • View client and subscription information.
  • Cancel/renew the subscription.
  • Manage permissions. 

The option to delegate access will be available only after a subscription is purchased. It can only be granted to the freelancer from whom the subscription was purchased.

  1. On the Microsoft 365 dashboard, clients will have the option to click on "Manage permission".
  2. Before delegating, clients will see a detailed description of what delegation means.
  3. Once initiated, the freelancer will receive an email notification that access has been delegated along with additional steps.
  4. Once the request is approved or rejected, the client will receive an email notification.

Subscription statuses

  • Purchase complete, but not yet linked to your Microsoft account.
    Note: The link will be terminated after 14 days if not activated.
  • Linking to your Microsoft account.
  • The subscription will appear as failed when the account creation review process fails for any reason.
  • Subscription is active and linked to your Microsoft account.
  • Temporarily deactivated due to Fiverr’s policy violation or breach of terms.
  • Subscription ended, auto-renewal off. Will be canceled after 30 days.
  • Subscription permanently deactivated and cannot be reactivated.

 

Cancellation

    • Cancelation is available up to 7 days from the activation of an account or the activation of a subscription renewal. 

    • Cancelations before activating an account will receive a refund in full. 

    • Within 24 hours of the purchase, clients will receive a full refund.

    • After 24 hours and up to 7 days, clients will receive a partial refund for the number of days from when the subscription was activated. 

    • Canceling a subscription immediately revokes access to the purchased Microsoft 365 assets, but you will retain access to the Microsoft account and data.

    • Once canceled, subscriptions will be labeled "Canceled".

    • After cancellation, the client will receive a confirmation email.

    • If the client tries to cancel after the 7-day period, they will only have the option to turn off auto-renewal to prevent the subscription from renewing once the period end.

Auto-renewal

    • There are two options for auto-renewal settings:

      • On: The subscription will renew automatically.

      • Off: The subscription will end.

    • The selected renewal option will take effect when the commitment period ends. 
      Note: New subscriptions are set to auto-renew by default.

    • When auto-renewal is enabled, the client will continue to be billed according to their subscription type.

    • Upon renewal, the client will have a 7-day cancellation window.

    • When disabling the auto renewal option during the commitment period, the subscription remains active and users retain access to their products and services.

    • Before the subscription commitment period ends, the customer will receive an email notification reminding them that their commitment period is ending and what that means for their account.

    • To opt out of the renewal, go to your 365 dashboard and click on the 3 dots. Choose “Manage renewal” from the drop down menu. Click on “Renewal off” then “apply”. Your subscription will end on the next renewal date.

FAQs

  • No, managing Microsoft accounts (like purchases and account settings) is currently only possible through a computer or mobile web browser.
  • If you have issues with the link, please contact our Customer Support specialists for further assistance.
  • Don't worry, your Microsoft subscription will not be affected. Fiverr will handle the necessary changes to ensure your subscription continues uninterrupted.
  • Invoices will be generated for each payment cycle. For monthly subscriptions, you'll receive an invoice each month. For yearly subscriptions, you'll receive an invoice annually. You can find all invoices under the 'Billing and Payments' page.
