Account verification

Verification Process

  • Determining your status as Business or Private Freelancer

As you move along the account creation process, you'll encounter a primary question about your intended use of Fiverr and completing it is essential:

    • If you plan to sell on Fiverr outside your primary job or profession, you will be considered as a Private freelancer (non-trader) for the purposes of the EU regulation.
    • If you plan to use Fiverr as part of your primary job or profession, you will be considered as a Business freelancer (trader) which means that you will be required to complete other personal or business details so we could verify your identity as required by law.

Note: According to EU law, the status will be self-declared by the freelancers themselves. If you’re unsure what your freelance status is, we recommend consulting with a legal professional.

  • Providing Personal & Business information

The verification process involves providing basic details for Business freelancers. This includes: name, email, address (including country), and your business registration number and the trade register in which your business is registered (if applicable). Additionally, you'll need to confirm your phone number and undergo further identity verification.

In addition, you will be required to confirm and undertake to comply with all applicable laws, including offering only products and services that comply with Fiverr policies and EU regulations.

Note: Once your information is verified, certain EU customers may see some of the information as required by applicable laws. This includes name, address, email, phone and business registration number (where applicable) as well as your self certification to comply with Fiverr’s policies and EU applicable rules.
