Set up your auto reply

Ensuring timely acknowledgment of client inquiries is a key communication element, especially with first-time clients. We've introduced an auto-reply feature for Inbox messages to support this.

About the auto reply feature

This feature allows you to set up a message in advance, that will automatically be sent to clients as soon as they send you a message for the first time—meaning all new conversations.

So whether you want to give reassurance that you’ll be in touch soon, make sure you’re getting their project details in advance, or anything else that you might need to succeed, activate the auto reply feature to reply to first-time clients automatically, and help keep the conversation going.

How it works

Clients on Fiverr are more likely to place an order with sellers who respond quickly to their first message (no prior contact).
Utilize the
auto reply option to help get more orders and new business, with just a few simple clicks.

To set up your own auto reply message:

  1. Navigate to any inbox message and click the lightning bolt icon located at the bottom left of the chat window.
  2. Turn the feature to 'On' to activate it. Toggle the switch to 'Off' to disable it.
  3. Type the message you'd like to send automatically to clients, or edit the existing text if you wish to modify your message.

    View our suggested templates below for some inspiration.
  4. Click "Save."
    Note: As soon as you activated this feature, your auto reply message will be automatically sent when a client messages you for the first time.

Auto reply messages do not substitute direct reply messages. Respond within 24 hours to maintain your inbox response rate. Unread messages will remain marked in your inbox to remind you to provide a manual response when available.
